The Padres purchased the contract of Brady Clark from the minors on Saturday when rosters expanded. Clark will see some time in the outfield over the final month of the season, but not enough to warrant any attention in fantasy.

Brady Clark, who was designated for assignment earlier this month, has cleared waivers and is now a free agent, according to the LA Times. The Padres are one team that is expected to pursue the outfielder. Clark hit .224 in 58 at-bats with the Dodgers this year.

If the Dodgers are unable to trade Brady Clark, the Padres are expected to sign him. Clark, who was hitting just .224 in 58 at-bats this year, was designated for assignment by the Dodgers on Sunday.

The Dodgers designated Brady Clark for assignment Sunday. Acquired just before the season in a trade with Milwaukee, Clark hit just .224 with no homers and five RBI in only 58 at-bats for LA. "It's a business," he said in the AP. "It's part of the game. I think it's a blessing in disguise for me. I hope it is. Everything happens for a reason. There are 29 other teams -- hopefully there's a place for me."

The Dodgers acquired Brady Clark and cash from the Brewers on Monday in exchange for Elmer Dessens, according to the AP. With Jason Repko and Marlon Anderson dealing with injuries, Clark will provide the Dodgers with some insurance in the outfield.
