Randy Choate has been activated from the DL and outrighted to Triple-A Nashville, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Randy Choate visited Dr. Don Sheridan in Phoenix on Monday because he was still experiencing some tenderness in his broken left hand, according to MLB.com. Sheridan recommended two more weeks of rest for him. He holds little to no fantasy value.

Randy Choate has a broken left ring finger, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. He sustained the injury last week when he banged his hand against the helmet of Matt LaPorta during rundown drills, and he will be re-evaluated on April 1. The below average reliever will be hard-pressed to make the final 40-man roster.

The Brewers signed Randy Choate to a one-year contract on Wednesday, according to the AP. Choate spent most of the 2007 season in Triple-A Tucson, holding a 2.98 ERA in 55 relief appearances. He's nothing but a below-average middle reliever with no fantasy value.

Randy Choate was designated for assignment Thursday, making room for Randy Johnson off the disabled list. Choate had joined the team earlier in the week and didn't retire any of the three batters he faced over two appearances.
