The Marlins finalized their deal with Miguel Olivo yesterday, though details of the contract weren't announced, according to the Miami Herald.

The Miami Herald reports that Miguel Olivo has agreed in principle on a deal with the Marlins. His agent and the Marlins haven't commented on any possible contract, though.

Miguel Olivo was given the night off Saturday, according to the AP. "We felt it was time for a rest," manager Bruce Bochy said. "He will be back in the lineup Sunday and we are off Monday so he should be ready to go after that."

The Padres acquired Miguel Olivo from the Mariners late Saturday night in exchange for Miguel Ojeda and minor league pitcher Nathanel Mateo, according to the AP. Olivo hit .151 with five home runs and 18 RBI for Seattle this year and will serve as one of the replacements behind the plate for injured starter Ramon Hernandez.

The Mariners recalled Miguel Olivo from Triple-A Tacoma, according to the AP. He will serve as the back-up catcher to Pat Borders and will play once or twice every four or five days. Olivo hit .244 with three homers and 21 RBI for Tacoma.
