It appears the Blue Jays are open to trading Alex Rios, and the Toronto Sun reports they've talked to the Giants about a possible deal for Matt Cain or Tim Lincecum. Talks between the two clubs haven't progressed very far, but this would be an offer the Giants would at least have to consider.

The Indians talked to the Blue Jays about Alex Rios Monday, but the two sides couldn't find a match, according to the Toronto Sun. There would be many teams interested in Rios should he really become available, but the Jays would likely demand at least two high-end prospects in return.

Alex Rios is currently dealing with a sore right shoulder, but he's not concerned about the injury, according to the Globe and Mail. "Just a little tightness, nothing that I'm worried about," said Rios. Rios blamed the tightness on the fact that he had a long period over the offseason where he did not do any throwing.

The Blue Jays avoided arbitration with Alex Rios by signing him to a one-year, $2.5 million deal on Friday, according to the Globe and Mail. Rios with .302 with 17 homers and 82 RBI last year but was limited to just 128 games due to a staph infection.
