Boof Bonser was slow to warm on Wednesday night. For those who watched the game it was obvious that the right-hander was overthrowing, and losing break on his dynamite curve ball. Bonser allowed four of his five runs in the first inning on a Matt Stairs grand slam, but finished strong, walking three and striking out three in six innings of work.

Boof Bonser gave up six runs in the first inning Sunday against Detroit but found out his team has the ability to bail him out, this according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. While he pitched five shutout innings after the first, the Twins offense eventually got untracked against starter Kenny Rogers and carried it over to the Tigers bullpen. "That six-spot killed me,'' Bonser said, "I was just able to buckle down and throw six innings, give my team a chance. We pulled it off."
