Pirates pitcher Phil Dumatrait's rehab from shoulder surgery was thought to be going well, but he has not been progressing quickly as of late, reports MLB.com. "He's a little behind ideally what we were hoping he would be," Pirates GM Neal Huntington said.

Phil Dumatrait is set to return to the Pirates' rotation tonight against the Astros, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. He has been on the DL because of bursitis in his left shoulder and hasn't pitched since June 19. He said, "I'm definitely ready to get back there and be part of the team again. I didn't really feel the bursitis when I pitched. I felt it during the week leading up, but on game day I didn't feel it."
