| February 22, 2008 It's going to be difficult for Scott Thorman to earn a job this spring as a pinch-hitter and backup at first base and left field, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "It's going to be hard, because (Mark) Teixeira is going to play his 150 games," manager Bobby Cox said. "We're going to give [Thorman] time in left field [in spring training], for sure." Thorman is out of minor league options, so if he doesn't make the team, he'll be traded or placed on waivers. |
