The Braves recalled Scott Thorman from Triple-A on Friday. He will backup at first base and the outfield. He hit .255 with four homers and 11 RBI in 102 at-bats with Atlanta earlier in the year.

The Braves optioned Scott Thorman to Triple-A Richmond prior to Tuesday's game, according to the AP. He hit .255 with four homers and 11 RBI in 102 at-bats for the Braves. The move was made so Lance Cormier could start Tuesday's game against Washington.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Scott Thorman has been recalled from Triple-A Richmond to replace the injured Brian Jordan on the Braves' roster. Thorman was hitting .324 with 15 homers and 44 RBI for Richmond.
