Scott Thorman went 4-for-4 in Sunday's loss at Colorado, hiking his average up to .292. He also picked up his first hit off a lefty this season, after starting the year 0-for-8 against southpaws.

Scott Thorman went 2-for-4 with an RBI on Wednesday and his hitting .241 so far this spring. He's expected to get most of the starts at first base this year for the Braves, although Craig Wilson figures to get plenty of starts against lefties.

With the Braves dealing Adam LaRoche, Scott Thorman is in position to take over the everyday job at first base. However, it's still possible that the Braves could try to bring in someone like Phil Nevin or Craig Wilson as an alternative.
