The Angels shifted their rotation to get ready for the playoffs, and John Lackey will now start on Friday instead of Saturday.

John Lackey has struggled early this season to a 1-1 record with an 8.22 ERA, but his job in the starting rotation is not in jeopardy, according to the LA Times. "Nobody's rope is infinite, but we're not at a point of replacing any of these guys in what we consider a good rotation," Angels manager Mike Scioscia said.

Having missed his last start with a blistered finger, John Lackey was back in action yesterday. He said the blister "is close to being healed" and doesn't expect it to slow him the rest of the spring., according to the LA Times.
