May 6, 2008
There is speculation swirling around the White Sox clubhouse that one or two players could be gone by the time the team takes the field against Minnesota on Tuesday, and one player mentioned was Juan Uribe, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. That does not include reliever Adam Russell, who has been sent back to Triple-A Charlotte.
April 1, 2008
Juan Uribe had a tough day at the plate against Cleveland on Monday as he went 1-for-4 with three strikeouts, while leaving three men on base. He started at 2B, but won't stay there for long if he plays like this.
March 25, 2008
Juan Uribe will get first shot at second base, with Alexei Ramirez serving as a backup there and at shortstop and the outfield, according to the Chicago Tribune. It makes sense for the Sox to try and showcase him if they still intend to trade him away.
