| December 8, 2007 Pedro Feliz declined the Giants' arbitration offer Friday. The Giants would like to bring Feliz back on a one-year deal, but he wants a multi-year contract. "If it shifts to our way of thinking, which is shorter term, we're prepared to do that," GM Brian Sabean said in the Mercury News. "We're just not prepared to go long term. . . . I know he wants to come back, but the change of agents really might dictate it." |
| November 13, 2007 Free agent Pedro Feliz is said to be looking for a three-year deal, but he is unlikely to get three years from the Giants. "If that's the case, it's not something we're going to pursue," GM Brian Sabean said in the Mercury News. "At least not at this time." Feliz has hit 20 homers in four straight seasons and plays terrific defense, but his career OBP of .288 certainly leaves something to be desired. |

"I can move him to other positions. As we get deeper into this streak (of 20 games in 20 days), we'll move some other guys around." Feliz was the odd man out Tuesday, as Klesko started at first and Rich Aurilia moved over to third. Feliz piled up 160 games and 603 at-bats last year, but he's already missed five full games this season (one of them to be with his pregnant wife). |

Klesko got the call at first, Rich Aurilia moved to third, and Feliz didn't start. Feliz, who started 106 games before receiving his first break last season, didn't seem too excited about Bochy's move but refrained from complaining. "What can I do?" he said. "I want to play every game, but it's not going to happen." He'll be back in the lineup Friday, with Aurilia sitting. |
