Daisuke Matsuzaka won't make his next start until Saturday, according to the Boston Globe. He was originally slated to go on Wednesday. This move gives Dice-K another three days of rest, and it also lines him up to start Game 2 of the division series. It's unclear who will start in Matsuzaka's place on Wednesday.

Daisuke Matsuzaka was the tough-luck loser Wednesday at Tampa Bay, despite pitching reasonably well (six innings, two hits, two runs, four walks, eight strikeouts). He's only won one of his last five starts, though in four of those turns he's allowed two runs or less.

Facing big-league hitters for the first time this spring, Daisuke Matsuzaka threw three scoreless innings against the Marlins on Tuesday, allowing two hits and one walk while striking out three, according to the AP. He threw 31 of his 47 pitches for strikes, including throwing first-pitch strikes to 10 of the 12 hitters he faced.
