Bobby Crosby had a setback while working out Friday and has been shut down again, according to the Contra Costa Times. At this point, it appears quite unlikely that he'll return from his back injury during the regular season. "Bobby is trying the best he can," trainer Larry Davis said. "He's more frustrated than anybody. He's a high-level athlete."

"I don't want to rush it," Crosby said. "If I get hurt again, that's it, I'm done. But we can't take our sweet time either. If we do that, the season is going to end. It's a tough deal we're in. "Right now it's a two-week period and after that it's up in the air. We'll know more after the test. We went from getting him two days off to giving him a shot to giving him 15 days off. Now we're back to square one. But we're going to figure it out." The team recalled D'Angelo Jimenez from Triple-A Sacramento to take Crosby's place on the roster.
