Craig Monroe has been working on his timing at the plate and chief among those changes is the elimination of his exaggerated leg kick so that he can be more consistent with inconsistent levels of playing time, according to MLB.com. "I'm starting to get comfortable because I'm doing it every day in batting practice and in the cage," Monroe said. "I'm feeling like I don't have to have this high leg kick with all the movement to generate the power that I have. I'm trying to keep it simple."
June 20, 2008
Craig Monroe went deep for the sixth time this season with a two run shot off of Randy Johnson on Friday night.
