Chone Figgins will look to stir things up for the Angels in their attempt to extend their season with a victory against the Red Sox in Game 3 of the ALDS, according to MLB.com.

Chone Figgins was 2-for-5 with a run and an RBI in Friday's 7-5 loss to the Red Sox. His triple was the Halos first and only extra base hit of the season and he scored on a Mark Teixeira sac fly to tie the game in the eighth.

A source close to the situation said that Chicago GM Kenny Williams started sending out feelers more than two weeks ago to teams that had leadoff hitters also capable of playing second base, and speculation is that his interest in Figgins has grown. Williams said, "Figgins? That's an interesting name. I'm talking about the guys that will ultimately be available, and I don't know if they will be any better than what we already got. Again, the key phrase being that they will ultimately be available. Not that I can't sit here and play the fantasy game. Hell, I can play that game and come up with a bunch of people. Reality, that's the game I have to deal in."

Chone Figgins arrived at camp on Friday, and he is still working through a bit of rehab with his left wrist. He had surgery to remove the hook of the hamate bone in late October. "It's full go," Figgins tells MLB.com. "I didn't get my normal work in, but I've been hitting for about a month. I still get some soreness, but nothing like before."
