Gavin Floyd toyed with no-hitter on Tuesday night. He didn't allow a hit until Joe Mauer doubled in the ninth inning. Floyd finished with one hit and one unearned run allowed over 8.1 innings. He walked three and struck out four.

Gavin Floyd will take the mound tonight against the Twins, according to MLB.com. Floyd is 2-0 this season with a 2.84 ERA, but is 0-2 over two career starts against Minnesota, while allowing 10 earned runs on 15 hits over 11.1 innings, with five of those hits going for homers.

The strong performance by Gavin Floyd on Thursday resulted in a no-decision after closer Bobby Jenks blew a two run lead in the bottom of the ninth inning. Floyd threw six strong innings allowing two runs (both unearned) on two hits, walking two and striking out four.
