On Saturday, Jeremy Bonderman tossed what manager Jim Leyland called an excellent bullpen session. However, the pitcher reported soreness in his elbow Sunday, so the Tigers have thrown in the towel on his season, according to the Detroit Free Press. Testing revealed no structural damage, so it appears the Tigers are just playing it safely now, so he'll be set for next season.
