Nate McLouth was a late scratch Thursday because he was feeling ill, the AP reports. McLouth has been a sneaky-valuable power and speed option over the last couple of months, not that he's guaranteed anything for 2008.

Nate McLouth had two walks and a run scored in Saturday's loss to Philadelphia. McLouth also stole his 17th base of the year, giving him 11 bags since Aug. 1.

Nate McLouth started in center field Saturday and went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. He was also picked off once. McLough and Rajai Davis are expected to share center field for the Pirates while Chris Duffy (ankle) is out of the lineup.
