Cody Ross won't return to action for quite a while. He suffered another setback in his recovery from a strained left hamstring this week, according to the Sun-Sentinel. It looks like even if all goes well from here on out, Ross won't come off the disabed list until late in June.

Don't look for Cody Ross to come off the disabled list when eligible on Tuesday. Ross was testing his strained hamstring by running and hitting early last week, but he suffered a setback and has been shut down since, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. Consider Ross week-to-week until he's able to do more with his injured leg.

The Marlins placed Cody Ross on the disabled list Sunday with a left hamstring injury, according to the AP. He suffered he injury during Saturday's contest. "Right before I hit third, I felt it," Ross said. "It kind of grabbed and something popped. It took all I had to get to home. My first thought was to go to the ground, but we needed that run." Marlins manager Fredi Gonzalez said it's uncertain whether Ross will be sidelined longer than two weeks.

Cody Ross will platoon with Alfredo Amezaga in center field with Alejandro De Aza headed to the DL, the Marlins official site reports. Ross is hitting .286 with a homer and four RBI in 28 at-bats so far this season.
