Carlos Silva was awful this past season (4-15, 6.46 ERA) thanks in part to the fact that he was woefully out of shape, according to Everett Herald. Silva gained roughly 30 pounds over the course of the season so the team has set him up with a personal trainer and nutritional program this off-season.
