Aaron Cook gave up two earned runs on five hits over six innings in Friday's 9-4 win over the Padres, with two walks and three strikeouts.

It has been a little bit of a struggle for Aaron Cook since the All-Star break and according to the Rocky Mountain News some scouts have said that Cook has lost the sink on his sinker. Since the break Cook has an ERA of 4.98.

Colorado ace Aaron Cook got a little bit of his groove back today as recent struggles have put him in a bad way, pitching five innings to allow two runs (both earned) on seven hits with three walks and four strikeouts as the Rockies pulled the 7-2 win over Washington.

Aaron Cook will start Sunday's series finale with the Nationals, according to MLB.com. He was scratched from Thursday's outing because of fatigue and tightness in the small of his back.

Aaron Cook, who is recovering from a sore back, threw a side session Thursday and indicated that he hopes to start as soon as Sunday against Washington, according to the Denver Post.
