He will miss his third straight game due to his hamstring ailment, and GM Omar Minaya noted that Reyes tested his hamstring on the field this morning, and added that the team wants to give him one more day of rest before putting him back in the lineup.

He is only hitting .200 over 30 at bats at well, with only one double and no triples, and he stated, "It's not where I want to be, but I feel better." Hopefully he can get on track and regain his spark soon.

Jose Reyes was 2-for-4 in Monday's win over the Fish. The Mets shortstop added a run, an RBI and was caught stealing in his first attempt of the season. Reyes has swiped 60, 64 and 78 bases the last three years, and was off and running in the opening day win.

Jose Reyes has swiped 60, 64 and 78 bases the last three years. Could he steal even more this season? "Probably I'm going to be a little faster this year," he tells the New York Daily News. Reyes did more long distance running this offseason in order to increase his endurance.
