Coco Crisp has been cleared to return to the field after dealing with an illness the past couple of days, according to the Providence Journal. "He feels better,'' said manager Terry Francona. "(But) I don't think he feels terrific. I don't think he's 100 percent yet. Whatever hit him, hit him hard."

Coco Crisp continues to be bothered by headaches and nausea and is not in Wednesday's lineup. "I feel off-and-on better and weird. I woke up feeling better, did some late Mother's Day shopping... but then started feeling sick again," he informs the Boston Globe. "My head is messed up... a heavy-type feeling."

Coco Crisp left Tuesday's game in the bottom of the sixth inning due to an illness. The Boston Globe explains that a migraine and an upset stomach were both offered as explanations.

Coco Crisp is leading off for the Red Sox and starting in center field Monday in Minnesota. It appears that rookie left-hander Jacoby Ellsbury will rest against Twins right-hander Livan Hernandez.

Coco Crisp is doubtful for tonight's game against the Rays due to a sore left knee. "Coco got a little more tender as the night went but he fought his way through it," manager Terry Francona said in the Boston Herald.
