Although Coco Crisp has hit leadoff in six of the Indians' last 10 games, it's nothing permanent, according to the Akron Beacon-Journal. "Coco is not auditioning for the leadoff spot," manager Eric Wedge said. "I'm just putting the best lineup together to score runs. With Coco first, that pushes Matt (Lawton) down. I'm not locked into this; we'll see how it goes."

Indians manager Eric Wedge said he wants to get Coco Crisp more playing time, even though Alex Escobar remains the primary center fielder, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Wedge said he'll try to get Crisp into the mix "two or three times" a week. "They both have the opportunity," said Wedge. "Whoever steps up will play more. We need to see consistency over a period of time," he added.
