Pitcher Jorge Sosa has signed with the Seattle Mariners, and will start out in Triple-A, according to the Tacoma News Tribune.

The Astros signed Jorge Sosa to a minor-league deal Wednesday. Sosa was released by the Mets last week after posting a 7.06 ERA in 20 relief outings.

Jorge Sosa was released on Thursday, the New York Post confirms. The reliever declined a Triple-A assignment, and the Mets did not agree to any trades.

The Mets designated Jorge Sosa for assignment on Tuesday night. The reliever owned a 7.06 ERA and 1.89 WHIP. If he's not traded within 10 days, Sosa could become a free agent or accept a gig at Triple-A New Orleans.
