Franklyn German has been traded from the Pirates to the White Sox for a player to be named, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

May 21, 2008
The Rangers designated Franklyn German for assignment Wednesday, according to the Star-Telegram. Kameron Loe was recalled to replace him on the roster.

April 6, 2008
Franklyn German was reportedly pulled in the ninth inning on Friday due to back stiffness, according to the Dallas Morning News. He only faced one batter against the Angels, and did not pitch on Saturday, but he is expected to be available for Sunday.

December 12, 2007
The Rangers re-signed Franklyn German to a minor league contract Monday with an invitation to spring training. German hasn't pitched in the big leagues since 2006, when he posted a 3.00 ERA in 12 relief appearances.

August 22, 2006
The Marlins activated Franklyn German from the disabled list Monday and then released him, according to the Sun-Sentinel. German held a 3.00 ERA in 12 games for the Marlins this year. He had been sidelined for a second time with right shoulder tendinitis.
