Taylor Buchholz pitched a scoreless inning on Sunday afternoon against the Tigers. He hasn't allowed a run in his last 10 appearances and now holds a 1.36 ERA over 35 appearances.

Taylor Buchholz registered his first career save on Sunday night. The right-hander entered a 6-2 contest in the eighth inning with two runners on base. He closed out that frame and worked a spotless ninth after the Rockies opened up the lead to 7-2.

Taylor Buchholz got a clean report from an MRI on his right elbow on Wednesday, according to the Rocky Mountain News. He had been shut down for the last week. Buchholz figures to pitch for the Rox again early next week.

Taylor Buchholz has been experiencing elbow soreness. "He had an MRI on it today," manager Clint Hurdle said in the AP. "We have no results, but he won't be available for the rest of this series."

Ubaldo Jimenez will get the start in place of Taylor Buchholz tonight. The Rockies are sending Buchholz back to the bullpen, where he has been much more effective this season, according to the Denver Post.
