Taylor Buchholz got a clean report from an MRI on his right elbow on Wednesday, according to the Rocky Mountain News. He had been shut down for the last week. Buchholz figures to pitch for the Rox again early next week.

Taylor Buchholz has been experiencing elbow soreness. "He had an MRI on it today," manager Clint Hurdle said in the AP. "We have no results, but he won't be available for the rest of this series."

Ubaldo Jimenez will get the start in place of Taylor Buchholz tonight. The Rockies are sending Buchholz back to the bullpen, where he has been much more effective this season, according to the Denver Post.

Taylor Buchholz is in the running for the rotation spot opened up by Rodrigo Lopez's injury, the Denver Post reports. "It's kind of in limbo right now," Buchholz said Thursday. "Obviously I would welcome the chance to be in the rotation. But I just have to wait and see."

Taylor Buchholz came to camp trying to win a spot in the Rockies rotation, but he has been told that he'll be used out of the bullpen, according to the Denver Post. "He's a guy who could be a spot starter and give us multiple innings," manager Clint Hurdle said. "He's got a swing-and-miss pitch that he can throw for strikeouts. So we'll see what the role revolves into."
