The Expos have recalled Ryan Church from Triple-A Edmonton to replace the injured Nick Johnson on their roster, according to the AP. Church was hitting .343 with 17 homers and 78 RBI in 98 games there. "Church will get some playing time," manager Frank Robinson said. "He will be part of the four-outfielder rotation."
