According to the Kansas City Star, Runelvys Hernandez was able to push his fastball to 93 mph in a Monday outing in the Arizona Instructional League. Hernandez is still throwing just fastballs and change-ups in his recovery from reconstructive elbow surgery.

Runelvys Hernandez threw on the side on Tuesday for the first time since undergoing Tommy John surgery last September. The Royals are hoping that Hernandez will be ready to go for spring training next year.

The Royals brought Runelvys Hernandez to Kansas City to gauge his recovery from Tommy John surgery last September, according to the KC Star. He's slated to toss a bullpen session today and hopes to pitch in the Instructional League this fall.
