The Reds recalled Brendan Harris from Triple-A Louisville Thursday, according to the AP. Harris was acquired in July in the eight-player deal with Washington, where he hit .250 in 32 at-bats. Harris, who replaced pitcher Matt Belisle on the roster, will back up at third and second.

The AP reports that in a massive trade on Thursday the Reds acquired Brendan Harris, Bill Bray, Gary Majewski, Royce Clayton, and Daryl Thompson from the Nationals in exchange for Austin Kearns, Felipe Lopez, and Ryan Wagner. Harris, who was hitting .250 in 32 AB in a couple of stints for Washington, was hitting .283 with five HR and 32 RBI for Triple-A New Orleans. He will report to Triple-A Louisville.

The Nationals optioned Brendan Harris to Triple-A New Orleans today in order to make room on the roster for Jason Bergmann, according to KLFY. Harris was hitting .250 with two RBI and three SB in 32 AB at the time of his demotion.

The Nationals recalled Brendan Harris from Triple-A New Orleans Friday to take the roster spot of the injured Santiago Ramirez, according to the AP. Harris had been with the Nationals for seven games in April and was 1-for-8 at the plate. He'll serve as a reserve infielder for the Nats.

Brendan Harris was optioned to Triple-A New Orleans by the Nationals on Thursday to make room on the roster for Mike O'Connor, according to the AP. Harris had hit .125 in eight at-bats for the Nationals but is expected to be back with the team as the season goes on.
