The Star Tribune reports that Saturday actually is Francisco Liriano's next day to pitch. Liriano held Columbus to one run on two hits over five innings, striking out four.

Francisco Liriano is continuing to work on his comeback from TJ surgery but he remains unable to locate his pitches and is still struggling at Triple-A Rochester, according to MLB.com. "I think he was a little confused, because he really thought that he had it all," manager Ron Gardenhire said Wednesday. "He thought he could come up here and dominate some people. It was an eye-opener for him, which is good. Because you need to have a little fear in you in this game -- it's not that easy."

Francisco Liriano could remain in the minors for a while according to the Star Tribune. Liriano is expected to start for Triple-A Rochester on Wednesday, and the team told him he will be there for a while. Twins' pitching coach Rick Anderson stated, "Confidence comes with success. He's got to get down there and clear his mind, and he admitted to me that he's thinking too much about what he's doing. I asked him, 'How did you feel before you were hurt?' He said, 'I didn't think, I just threw.' He's not to that point yet. When he does get to that point, he will have success, and success breeds confidence."
