The Phillies recalled Clay Condrey from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Wednesday to take the place of the injured Cole Hamels on the roster, according to the AP. Condrey was 2-0 with one save and a 1.09 ERA in 15 relief appearances at Scranton.

The Phillies called up Clay Condrey from Triple-A Scranton Wilkes-Barre to replace the injured Julio Santana on the roster, according to the AP. Condrey hasn't pitched in the major leagues in 2003, when he posted a 1-2 record with an 8.47 ERA in nine games with the Padres. He will pitch in middle relief for the Phillies.
