Angel Guzman is going to work in relief for the time being after leaving his last start with a cramping right hamstring, according to the Chicago Tribune. "We're going to put Guzman back in the bullpen, that is a certainty," manager Lou Piniella said. "With the leg cramps and so forth, there's no sense getting into that. Plus, he has a really nice arm. We can see this man developing into a nice late-inning pitcher for us." It's not clear yet who will replace Guzman in the rotation next week. Sean Marshall could be called up from the minors to start.

Angel Guzman left his start on Thursday after five innings due to cramps in his right hamstring. His status for his next start is uncertain, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Carlos Marmol or Sean Marshall could be promoted if Guzman is not available.

The Cubs recalled Angel Guzman from Triple-A on Sunday to start against the Nationals, according to the Sports Network. Guzman posted a 2.45 ERA in four relief appearances with the Cubs earlier this year, but he also held a 12.19 ERA in his last three minor league starts, so you'll want to tread carefully here.
