Felix Pie could potentially get sent down to the minors, according to the Arlington Daily Herald. Lou Piniella wouldn't reveal how long the Cubs would work with Pie on his hitting at the major-league level, but when asked if Pie could get sent down to Triple-A to work on his game, Piniella said, "Nothing's indefinitely. We'll just leave it at nothing's indefinitely."
April 24, 2008
Felix Pie was the only Cub batter who had more than one hit on Thursday as he went 2-for-3 with an RBI against the Rockies.
April 9, 2008
Felix Pie's two-run single in the top of the 15th inning allowed Chicago to somehow outlast the fiery Pirates on Wednesday night. Chicago beat Pittsburgh 10-8 in 12 innings in the previous game Monday, meaning they have played 27 innings in two games. Pie, who appears to have lost his starting gig to Reed Johnson, came off the bench to lead the Cubs in Wednesday win.
April 6, 2008
Felix Pie sat out another game on Sunday, likely due to his sore right hand. Reed Johnson will once again fill his spot in the starting lineup.
