As expected, manager Sam Perlozzo announced Monday that Daniel Cabrera will be recalled to start today's game against the Blue Jays, according to the Baltimore Sun. In four starts with Triple-A, Cabrera was 3-1 with a 4.07 ERA. His last start came on Thursday, so he'll be working on normal rest.

The Baltimore Sun reports that although the Orioles list Tuesday's starter as undecided, Daniel Cabrera is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Ottawa to take the start. Cabrera is 3-1 with a 4.07 ERA since being sent down to work on his game. "We need to get our rotation back in order, and he's part of the rotation," Orioles manager Sam Perlozzo said. "If he's going to be part of our future, he needs to get back up here and start pitching for us and straighten it out up here. It's time to get this thing rolling."

With Kris Benson headed to the disabled list, Daniel Cabrera could be recalled from Triple-A Ottawa to start on Tuesday. "Daniel would fall on that day," manager Sam Perlozzo noted. "He's definitely under consideration for that start." Cabrera struck out eight and walked one in six scoreless innings for Ottawa on Thursday.

Manager Sam Perlozzo mentioned Daniel Cabrera as a candidate to start on Saturday against the White Sox, but he went on to say that the organization would like Cabrera to get a "start or two" more at Triple-A Ottawa. The Orioles optioned Daniel Cabrera to Triple-A Ottawa last week so he could work on his control, but he still had trouble commanding his pitches in his first outing there, according to the Baltimore Sun. He allowed four runs (three earned), seven hits and three walks over 6 2/3 innings. "His velocity was good, but he still didn't have command of his breaking ball," manager Sam Perlozzo said Wednesday. "It also sounded like he had some shaky defense behind him at one point. It's a step. We get that game behind him and see how he does next time."

The Orioles optioned Daniel Cabrera to Triple-A Ottawa Friday, according to the AP. Cabrera has struggled mightily over his last six outings, going 0-5 with a 7.02 ERA. Overall, he is 4-7 with a 5.25 ERA. The team recalled Adam Loewen from Ottawa to replace Cabrera on the roster.

Daniel Cabrera, who is on the DL with a strained right shoulder, is expected to throw on the side today, according to the Baltimore Sun. He could be activated from the DL within the next couple of days. Cabrera made a rehab start on Wednesday, meaning his next start would fall on Monday, the day that Bruce Chen, who is in danger of losing his rotation spot, is scheduled to make his next turn. "If we decide that we want to keep Daniel on his five days, we could either push everybody back or let him pitch in that slot and just move Bruce back two more days," manager Sam Perlozzo said. "I'd like to get a pretty good read on Daniel. I want to make sure he's totally OK to go in that spot. If he isn't, things will stay status quo. If he's OK, then we'll have to think about what we want to do."
