Orioles pitcher Daniel Cabrera will meet with doctors after his velocity had dropped noticeably in his last few starts, according to the AP. Orioles manager Dave Trembley did not seem overly concerned, saying, "I guess they'll check his arm. ... I'm not trying to diminish if there's something wrong with his arm, but I think the guy is disappointed. He's upset with himself."

Daniel Cabrera needed 31 pitches to get out of the first inning of Tuesday's start against the Cardinals. He loaded the bases in the inning but struck out Chris Duncan to earn the final out. In the end, Cabrera allowed just one run and one hit over three innings, while striking out three. However, he walked five batters. Cabrera still has loads of potential, but unless he can finally figure out a way to become consistent, he's going to be a constant source of frustration for the O's and fantasy folk.

Daniel Cabrera , who was outstanding in his last trip to the mound for the Orioles pitching three shutout innings, continues to live up to his M.O. On Thursday, the talented right-hander gave up five runs in the first inning. He allowed three hits, walked two and threw a wild pitch. Cabrera simply can't be trusted. Owners just don't know what they are getting with Cabrera from game-to-game, or even pitch-to-pitch.

Daniel Cabrera had his stuff working on Saturday against Washington, pitching three shutout innings. The 0's talented right-hander gave up two hits and struck out one while facing 10 batters on the day. Cabrera had everything working and his command was abnormally outstanding. His 7-1 ground ball-to-fly ball ratio was also encouraging. Cabrera has been a breakout candidate for so many years, most sharp players avoid his inconsistent performances. If the hard-throwing righty can ever "get it" -- he will be a stellar mixed league option.
