The Diamondbacks recalled Brian Bruney from Triple-A Tucson Friday, according to the Arizona Republic.

The Diamondbacks optioned Brian Bruney to Triple-A Tucson following Friday's game, in which he gave up six runs on four hits and two walks in two-thirds of an inning. Brandon Medders will replace him on the roster. Bruney was 1-3 with a 7.60 ERA in 46 appearances with Arizona this season.
