Mike Gonzalez was recalled from Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday to replace the injured Brian Boehringer. Gonzalez was just sent back to minors on Sunday after pitching well in four games for the Pirates.

The Pirates optioned Mike Gonzalez to Triple-A Nashville on Sunday to make room for Sean Burnett. Gonzalez pitched very well in his four big league outings and will probably be recalled after 10 days in the minors, as long as the Pirates can find room for him.
