"[He] said he’ll do whatever we need him to do, and that’s been the way he’s gone about everything.” Young certainly needs to grow as a ballplayer, especially with his plate discipline, but he still hit .288 with 93 RBI as a rookie last year and figures to build on those numbers moving forward.

Twins skipper Ron Gardenhire has decided that Delmon Young will man left field this season, according to TwinCities.com. The report mentioned that Gardenhire met with Delmon Young on Sunday to tell him he has decided to leave Michael Cuddyer in right field and use him in left.
