Aaron Hill made his first major league start at second base for the Blue Jays on Sunday. The natural shortstop has spent most of the season at third base and DH for the Jays this year.

Blue Jays rookie Aaron Hill made his first professional start at third base on Sunday after serving as the DH in his first two games with the team. Hill is expected to get some regular action at third while Corey Koskie is out.

Aaron Hill made his major league debut on Friday night by batting eighth and serving as the DH. He went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBI. Blue Jays manager John Gibbons plans to ease Hill into the lineup by inserting him at DH until he adjusts to fielding the ball at third base, according to the AP.

The Blue Jays have recalled Aaron Hill from Triple-A Syracuse to replace the injured Corey Koskie on the roster and at third base, according to the Canadian Press. Hill is a natural shortstop, and he was batting .301 with five home runs, 18 RBI and 22 runs before the promotion.
