Recovering from shoulder inflammation, Ryan Wagner has been pitching in the Instructional League, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. "He was outstanding," GM Dan O'Brien said. "He had no issues with his shoulder. He's throwing the ball extremely well. He's made some basic adjustments to his delivery. It's really made a difference."

Ryan Wagner threw to hitters for about 10 minutes Tuesday, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. Wagner, who has been on the disabled list since July 15 with shoulder problems, is healthy but may have trouble getting into a game. "His command was a little shaky," Reds manager Jerry Narron said. "It would be nice if we could send him on a rehab somewhere for a couple of weeks."

He threw 45 pitches - all fastballs and changeups. The next step will be determined after seeing how Wagner feels today. He probably won't be activated before rosters expand on September 1.

"We'll go with matchups," Miley said. "Hopefully, somebody will take it and run with it." However, it's worth noting that Wagner may not have been available on Monday after pitching the three previous days.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Ryan Wagner has pitched so well this spring it would be stunning if he didn't make the Reds' roster out of camp. He's allowed only one run on four hits over seven innings.
