Ryan Wagner has not allowed a run in his last 13 innings, spanning over eight games, according to the Washington Post. Overall, Wagner holds an ERA of 4.00 since joining the Nationals in late July.

The Nationals called up Ryan Wagner from Triple-A on Sunday, according to the AP. Wagner, who has yet to pitch in the majors this year, will work in middle relief for the Nats.

The Nationals acquired Ryan Wagner, Felipe Lopez, and Austin Kearns on Thursday in exchange for Bill Bray, Gary Majewski, Royce Clayton, Brendan Harris, and Daryl Thompson, according to the AP. Cincinnati's first-round draft pick in 2003, Wagner has spent the season slumping at Triple-A Louisville, going 1-3 with a 6.34 ERA.

The Reds website reports that despite the struggles of Ryan Wagner at Triple-A Louisville this season (1-3, 6.56 ERA), with the lack of consistency in the Cincinnati bullpen, there is still a possibility that Wagner could be called up to the big leagues. "I don't think it's any secret that if he does anything at all there, he'd be here," said manager Jerry Narron.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that the Reds optioned Ryan Wagner to Triple-A Louisville. Wagner was beat out for a bullpen slot by Mike Burns despite ending the spring with 12 straight scoreless innings.

Even though he's had a fine spring, Ryan Wagner is on the bubble in terms of making the Reds 25-man roster and in fact may be behind Mike Burns, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. There has also been talk among scouts that Wagner might be available through a trade.
