One day after White Sox slugger Carlos Quentin said it was possible he could return if the team made it to the ALCS, manager Ozzie Guillen shot that report down, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. "Not going to be easy for him. When you get a pin in your body and you're going to hit, that's why I say I don't expect him to play until next year in spring training," Guillen said.

Carlos Quentin is making strides in his recovery from wrist surgery, according to the AP. He was re-evaluated Friday and the X-rays of the fracture Quentin suffered on September 1 looked great and he was definitely making progress.

Carlos Quentin did his most extensive work yet since his wrist surgery, and though he would not commit to a return at any point this season, he was happy with his progress, according to WhiteSox.com. "I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that it heals as quickly as possible," Quentin said.
