Eric Bruntlett became a part of baseball history on Sunday afternoon. Filling in for Chase Utley at second base, he caught a screaming liner from Jeff Francoeur in the ninth inning after the Mets set their runners in motion. He then stepped on second base to force out Luis Castillo before tagging out a marooned David Murphy to complete the historic play. It was only the 15th unassisted triple play in major league history.
