Anderson Garcia was designated for assignment by the Orioles on Wednesday to make room on their roster for Aubrey Huff, according to the Baltimore Sun. The Phillies claimed him off waivers on Friday. Garcia was 1-4 with a 5.68 ERA in 25 games at Triple-A last season with the New York Mets and then the Orioles.
