The kid is a supreme talent, but Seattle RHP Felix Hernandez is learning that talent does not always equal success in the majors. Hernandez suffered his fourth loss of the season this evening as the Mariners fell 5-2 to the Texas Rangers, pitching six innings to give up three runs (two earned) on six hits with five walks and three strikeouts.

Felix Hernandez had a third straight rough start as he allowed four runs in five innings against the Rangers. Felix struggled to find the strike zone all night taking 112 pitches to record 15 outs as he walked three batters and allowed six hits on his way to his third loss.

Seattle phenom Felix Hernandez suffered through rough day on the mound as the Mariners fell 6-1 to the New York Yankees. Hernandez completed just 5 2/3 innings, surrendering six runs (all earned) on 12 hits in his second loss of the season. He also surrendered three walks and pitched three strike outs, allowing one home run to OF Johnny Damon in the 6th inning with a man onboard.

Felix Hernandez did everything an ace does through seven innings against Oakland on Sunday, giving up just four hits and striking out 10. However, he could not escape trouble in the eighth. The Seattle right-hander walked Jack Hannahan to open the inning then Mark Ellis doubled and Daric Barton walked to load the bases. The A's Emil Brown followed with a single into left that ended Hernandez's day.

Felix Hernandez followed his complete game victory over the A's with another solid effort against the Orioles on Tuesday night. He held the Baltimore bats to six hits and two runs over seven innings. Hernandez walked three and struck out seven.
