The Angels called up Erick Aybar from Triple-A after Thursday's game, according to the LA Times. He's hit .300 (6-for-20) in two stints with the Angels this season. He'll serve as a backup shortstop.

The Angels optioned Erick Aybar to Triple-A Salt Lake to make room on the roster for Dustin Moseley, according to the AP. Aybar has six hits in 20 at-bats over two stints with the Angels this season.

Erick Aybar was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake by the Angels on Saturday to replace the injured Dallas McPherson on their roster, according to the AP. He was 4-for-12 with one RBI over 12 games with the Angels before being sent down earlier this month, but he was hitting .300 with five homers, 17 steals and 27 RBI in 43 Triple-A games.

The Angels called up Erick Aybar from Triple-A Tuesday. He was hitting .292 with four homers, 23 RBI and 13 steals prior to the promotion. Manager Mike Scioscia said the move was made to give the team more flexibility in the infield. Aybar will serve as a backup shortstop for the Angels.
