Donnie Murphy has signed a minor league deal with the Orioles, according to the Baltimore Sun. His agent (Jim Kuzmich) said, "Donnie is looking for a place to play much more consistently than he was in Oakland. You’re talking about a kid that came up playing in the Kansas City organization every day. The Orioles expressed that should Donnie’s bat develop into what we think it could develop into on the major league level, they see him having a more-defined role."

He commented that he was feeling much better, but will wait and see how his hand feels tomorrow before deciding whether or not he would be ready to return to the field.
